Russian curves strengthen your core strength and help you make safe turns - whether it's doing some champion worthy moves or in your daily life. You can do this with your weight, or you can hold the dumbbell with both hands. The weight version focuses on the rotating force side, while the dumbbell version focuses on the anti rotating force side to help protect the spine. Sit on a small Swiss ball and roll back so your upper back doesn't touch the ball.

  • use gluteus maximus and abdominal muscles to raise hips and keep lower back flat. Unbend your arms and slowly rotate your chest to one side. Rotate the upper spine to keep the hips relatively stable.
    1. repeat times: 25 times in 3 groups (both sides equal to one repeat)
